Research Officer

 

Salary from £38,313 to £46,148 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £49,614 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years

 

 

LSE Health seeks to appoint a Research Officer who will engage in various teams of researchers with ongoing projects related to the economics of health systems, access to health care, the regulation and economics of digital health applications, and medicines regulation and access.

 

 The Research Officer will:

 

1.     Provide analytical inputs (data work and modelling) to the ongoing work that is being carried out by senior researchers at the department (as mentioned above);

2.     Support the teams of researchers within LSE Health in drafting sections of research papers, as well as submitting them to relevant research outlets;

3.     Organize webinars/presentations to showcase work in progress as well as finalized work;

4.     Provide training and supervise junior research staff (e.g. occasional research assistant) so as to provide timely and efficient support to the wider research team.

You will have a completed PhD in one of the following areas: health economics, economics, statistics, data science, health services research, or related fields, or MSc in one of the disciplines above plus 3 years or relevant experience. You will have the ability to analyse and research complex ideas, concepts or theories, and experience of establishing context for research projects and (as appropriate) establishing databases and sophisticated models; experience drafting research projects and grant applications; good team-working and excellent communication and presentation skills.
