PA to Head of Department and Department Manager

 

Salary from £30,029 to £34,487 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £37,050 pa inclusive

 

 

The Department of Management provides a world class environment for multidisciplinary research on management issues as well as a deep insight into the functioning of the global business environment. Our objective is to be the premier management department in Europe and one of the top departments in the world in both teaching and research.

 

We are the largest department in the School, with over 70 faculty, 50 Professional Services staff (PSS), and associated guest lecturers and teachers. The Department has over 350 UG students, 800 MSc students, 30 PhD students and 150 Executive students. More information about our programmes is available at: www.lse.ac.uk/management/programmes.

 

This new role is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and experienced PA to take on a role working directly with the Head of Department and Department Manager in an academic department to ensure the delivery of a wide range of duties. The role will include the management of correspondence and diary appointments, preparation of papers and administration of meetings.

 

Relevant work experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving and sound IT skills are essential. You should also have the proven ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a range of colleagues and also have excellent time-management skills, with the ability to organise a busy and demanding workload
