Deputy Head of Procurement

 

Salary from £43,907 to £50,835 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £57,161 pa inclusive

 

 

The successful applicant will work as a procurement advisor in the LSE’s Procurement Team, providing professional procurement advice on all aspects of sourcing of goods and services. This will include: acting as lead commercial advisor on competitive tenders of high value, critical contracts; contract management; service management of the LSE’s Travel Management contract; and deputising for absences of the Head of Procurement. You will display business acumen to ensure effective and advantageous relationships with suppliers of major contracts are forged and maintained.

 

This key post requires an ambitious, tenacious and resilient individual who can work and influence at the highest levels within this prestigious Higher Education Institution, which spends circa £100m pa on goods and services.

 

You should have demonstrable experience of working in a procurement advisory role and be a qualified (or nearing completion of qualification) member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
