Business Intelligence Developer

 

Salary from £42,703 to £49,442 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,594 pa inclusive

 

 

The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences. The Information Management and Technology (IMT) division provides services to over 10,000 staff and student users across the LSE.

 

This post within the Business Intelligence and Integration Services Team will provide technical expertise in the support and development of the use of BusinessObjects reporting software and will be responsible for the administration of the BusinessObjects platform. Additionally the post holder will be expected to be involved in associated work as part of BI and integration projects, including database development and use of other BI software such as Tableau.

 

The successful candidate will:

·         Have demonstrable experience and proven ability in developing BusinessObjects universes and WebIntelligence reports using BusinessObjects XI3 or higher.

·         Have demonstrable experience in the installation, configuration and administration of BusinessObjects client and server software.

·         Be able to show strong experience of working with Oracle 10g or higher including writing and understanding complex SQL queries.

·         Be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and proactively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

·         Be able to communicate specialist knowledge and discuss technical issues clearly.

·         Be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.

 

These competencies will be assessed through a CV review and at interview which will include technical questions and testing.

 

Interviews will be on week commencing 11th December 2017.
