Assistant Professor in Law (English Criminal Law and Law of Criminal Evidence)
Salary is competitive and not less than £53,004 pa inclusive
In REF 2014 LSE Law had the highest percentage of world leading 4* publications of any UK institution. To support our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and to strengthen further our research profile, we are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Law who can contribute to teaching in English Criminal Law and Criminal Evidence.
The successful candidate will contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the School by conducting research of internationally excellent quality which will enhance the School's reputation as a research-led teaching institution. We are committed to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and all members of the Department’s academic staff are expected to contribute to core undergraduate teaching.
Candidates should be able to provide evidence of strong research potential and have a coherent strategy for future research resulting in publications of outstanding quality. Candidates should also have a PhD or its equivalent, or be close to completing.
