Research Assistant, Labour Market Dynamics and Optimal Policies (DYNAMICSS) and the Design of Social Policy in a Heterogeneous World (HETEROPOLIS)

 

Salary from £28,721 to £33,244 pa inclusive

 

 Salary is competitive and not less than £28,721 pa inclusive

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year

 

We are looking for one or up to two highly-skilled and motivated individuals to join a group of LSE researchers under the direction of Camille Landais and Johannes Spinnewijn. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects on a broad range of topics in applied microeconomics with applications to economic policy, using “big data” and quasi-experimental methods to identify causal effects and test the predictions of economic and sociological models.

 

You should preferably have a Master’s degree, or at least a Bachelor’s degree, in economics or other closely related discipline, a very strong quantitative background, strong computer skills including programming and the ability to work independently to solve problems. Experience in Stata, SAS or Matlab is essential.
