Research Officer (Low-carbon competitiveness)

 

Salary from £35,432 to £42,860 pa, inclusive of London Allowance,

 with potential to progress to £46,117

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years

 

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) at LSE are pleased to invite applications to the above post, which is a postdoctoral research position at the level of Research Officer.

 

The appointee will be expected to play an active intellectual role in the life of the Institute, including collaborating with other research programmes, and with staff at other universities. We are looking for individuals who are excited about communicating their research to decisions makers.

 

Candidates are expected to have, or be about to complete, a PhD in Environmental Economics, Applied Econometrics, Economics or a related field. Candidates should also have a research interest in competitiveness and innovation in the low-carbon economy. They should have a strong technical background in applied environmental economics, micro-econometrics and/or program evaluation. Excellent and proficient IT skills, including creation and development of databases and advanced statistical software (e.g. Stata, R), or scientific computation (e.g. Matlab) are also essential.
