Summer School Programme Assistant – Two Posts (Fixed-term contract, December 2016 until end of August 2017)

 

Salary from £24,760 to £27,831 per annum inclusive

 

The Summer School and Executive Programmes Unit runs intensive short open enrolment courses, taught on campus by LSE faculty, to an international market. Current programmes include the Summer School, Executive Summer School and Summer Methods Programme.

 

The LSE’s Summer School is the largest and most successful of its kind in Europe. Over 6,000 students from all over the world attended the programme over six weeks in 2016, and the team is proud that 96% of the cohort stated that they would recommend the programme to others. The Summer School and Executive Programmes Unit is highly successful within LSE and has ambitions to grow its client base over the coming years.

 

These fixed-term Programme Assistants will join a team committed to providing an outstanding level of service and front-line support to our students, from the enquiry stage right through to attendance and certification. We are seeking applications from candidates with excellent administrative, organisational and communication abilities that will equip them to join a small team, dedicated to replicating the ‘LSE Experience’ for Summer School students.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have a good standard of education and ideally be looking to develop a career within Higher Education. It will require the ability to work well as part of a team and also dedication to high levels of customer service. The SSEP unit is highly successful within the LSE, and it can offer opportunities for career progression to the right candidate.
