Summer School and Executive Programmes Unit

Marketing and Recruitment Executive

£28,241- £32,689 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £35,170 per annum inclusive

The Summer School and Executive Programmes Unit runs intensive short open enrolment programmes, taught on campus by LSE faculty, to an international market. Current programmes include the Summer School, Executive Education Courses and the Summer Methods Programme. The Unit is responsible for more than 100 high-level LSE taught short courses delivered each year. More than 6,000 students and participants attended these courses in 2016. The LSE Summer School, in particular, is currently the largest programme of its kind in Europe.

The successful applicant will support the Marketing and Recruitment Manager with a range of marketing activities designed to promote the programmes run by the Unit. This is a dynamic and challenging role that will work across these three programmes and their distinctly different audiences.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring best practice throughout all of the programmes marketing channels whilst being able to demonstrate ROI. This is a commercially focused role that will directly drive applications and revenue through a range of marketing initiatives and conversion activity.

The role will also involve working in conjunction with the administrators responsible for each programme and the Ops Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will be degree educated, and possess sufficient experience of working in a marketing role. You will possess both online and offline marketing experience, with email marketing in particular being a required skill. The position has particular responsibility for the creation of printed marketing collateral and branding in various forms, in addition to organising attendance at a series of internal and external events. Although this role will contribute to digital activity, this area is led by a separate member of the team.

You’ll be creatively minded and have a keen eye for detail, plus have the ability to carefully monitor and analyse the relative success of various initiatives through survey reports, analytics and user feedback. Experience within the higher education sector is desirable but not essential. The role may occasionally require some UK and international travel.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
