Research Knowledge and Reporting Manager – London
Salary is competitive and not less than £34,156 pa inclusive
The International Growth Centre (IGC) aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research.
This position represents a unique opportunity to increase the sophistication of the ways in which the IGC compiles and analyses qualitative and quantitative data from IGC research, including the presentation of these findings externally as well as for internal learning. The position will report directly to the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), Ella Spencer.
The successful candidate will make extensive use of their prior experience and high-level technical abilities to manage the IGC’s research knowledge and outputs across the IGC portfolio, particularly to enable research curation. S/he will manage and direct qualitative and quantitative analysis of research and impact of IGC work, designing appropriate methodologies and analytical approaches, as well as working to compile relevant IGC evidence. S/he will play a leading role in managing knowledge produced by the IGC: interpreting, translating and analysing, and s/he should have significant experience in building strong relationships to foster collaboration.
The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of development economics and will be passionate about analysing, managing and synthesising academic research for both internal and external audiences. S/he will hold a post-graduate degree economics, international relations or a discipline related to the work of the IGC. S/he must also have a proven track record working in a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) capacity and they should have experience of developing and using information management systems, for programme management, monitoring and organisational learning. The candidate should have high-level technical competency in MS Office Suite and preferably the Salesforce CRM platform, as well as demonstrated skill in developing and using information systems.
This is a full-time position based within LSE. The role will be offered on a fixed term contract until 30th September 2018, with extension subject to funding. Starting salary will be £34,156 with progression in role. We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
