Personal Assistant and Research Administrator

 

Salary from £28,241 to £32,689 pa inclusive (pro-rata) with potential to progress to £35,170 pa inclusive (pro-rata)

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and is part time for 17.5 hours per week

 

The Department of International Development is seeking a highly committed and motivated administrator to support Professor Mary Kaldor, Director of the Civil Society and Human Security Research Unit and Professor of Global Governance in the Department. This role offers a suitable candidate the opportunity to join one of the foremost social science universities in the world, with a global reach and international student intake.

           

Candidates should be highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi task and work to deadlines. Previous experience as a professional Personal Assistant and/or Research Administrator, preferably within a HE institution, is essential. Demonstrable experience is required in maintaining efficient office systems and budget management. The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and organisations and the willingness to support research programmes.
