LSE Fellows in Social Policy (three posts available)

 

Salary from £34,156 to £41,317 pa inclusive

 

These are fixed-term appointments for one year in the first instance, starting from 1 September 2017, with the possibility of an extension for a further year

 

The Department of Social Policy at LSE is the longest established in the UK and has received the highest possible rating in all Research Assessment Exercises carried out in the UK. The 2017 QS World University Rankings by Subject place the Department of Social Policy 3rd in the world.

 

The Department is seeking to appoint three LSE Fellows who are able to make an important contribution to its teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to its research. The posts present an excellent starting point for an academic to gain teaching experience while developing their research career.

 

The Department is currently sharpening the focus of its activities in core international social and public policy, combined with anticipated growth in areas such as behavioural public policy, criminology, education, inequalities, and migration. You will provide teaching on several core social policy courses, as well as contributing to others, and must have relevant teaching experience and excellent communication skills. Teaching-related administrative experience would be an advantage. You will have completed, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in social policy or related area by the post start date and demonstrate excellent research potential.
