For legal reasons, we have to inform applicants that the minimum salary for Full Professor at the LSE is £86,195 pa inclusive. However, the salary offered for this post will be competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide.  

 

The Department of Management at LSE seeks to hire a Full Professor of Management for candidates working in Operations Management. You would be joining a group with strong interests in auctions and mechanism design and in internet economics, but we would welcome applicants with research interests in any area of Operations Management.

 

You will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research, engaging in high quality teaching as instructed by the Head of Department, and participating in the School and wider Department activities

 

Candidates should have a PhD in Operations Management or in a relevant related field.  You will demonstrate a substantial track record of publications in top internationally-recognised journals. Specifically, we would look especially favourably at publications in any of the following journals: Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Management Science, Operations Research, and Games and Economic Behavior.  You will be able to demonstrate teaching excellence and experience in teaching Operations Management on undergraduate, postgraduate, or executive programmes in management. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required, including an ability to place one's specialist work within a broader social science context.
