Marketing Communications Officer (part-time)

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 10 months to cover a period of secondment.

 

Salary from £28,241 to £32,689 pa inclusive (pro-rata), with potential to progress to £35,170 pa inclusive (pro-rata). Appointments are usually made at the bottom of the salary scale.

 

This is a part time role for 17.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to select their preferred weekly working pattern within these hours, with line manager’s approval.

 

The Department of Management at LSE is seeking a talented and highly motivated part-time Marketing Communications Officer to contribute to the implementation and development of our global student recruitment strategy, as well as to our brand profile and positioning in the competitive worldwide business education market.

 

This is an exciting time to join our growing team, and this post will play a key role in devising and implementing a number of marketing communications activities, including delivering a global PR and digital communications campaign, and contributing outstanding written content for our department’s online channels and printed marketing materials.

 

The post-holder will be encouraged to take a journalistic approach to communicate insights and stories to our worldwide audiences, and play a key role in developing the visibility and identity of the department’s global business education brand in the fast-moving student market. This post would suit someone wishing to progress in their career as a marketing professional as part of an enthusiastic team.

 

Candidates should:
  • Have outstanding copywriting and editorial skills
  • Have excellent journalistic instincts, with the ability to seek out engaging stories and insights, and communicate these effectively to external audiences
  • Enjoy taking a collaborative approach to work, and be motivated to work closely with other members of the team toward shared strategic objectives

 

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 13th December 2017.
