Research Assistant, Public Economics Programme
Salary is competitive and not less than £30.029 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year
We are looking for up to four highly-skilled and motivated individuals to join a group of LSE researchers under the direction of Camille Landais, Johannes Spinnewijn, Daniel Reck and Xavier Jaravel. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects on a broad range of topics in applied microeconomics with applications to economic policy, using “big data” and quasi-experimental methods to identify causal effects and test the predictions of economic and sociological models.
You should preferably have a Master’s degree, or at least a Bachelor’s degree, in economics or other closely related discipline, a very strong quantitative background, strong computer skills including programming and the ability to work independently to solve problems. Experience in Stata, SAS or Matlab is essential.
