Undergraduate Student Adviser

 

Salary from £35,999 to £43,360 p.a. inclusive with potential to progress to £46,617 p.a. inclusive

 

This is a fixed term appointment for three years in the first instance

 

 

The LSE Law Department is consistently ranked as one of the best Law Schools in the world. Key to our continued success is the provision of tailored and proactive support to our students. The new post of Undergraduate Student Adviser will undertake a key role in enhancing the pastoral and welfare support we offer to our flagship LLB programme.

 

Responsibilities will include holding regular meetings with students to offer pastoral support and guidance on non-academic matters; working closely with Academic and Professional Services colleagues to continuously develop and enhance the student experience; acting act as a backup and support to Academic Mentors in the academic mentoring of their students.

 

Candidates should have:

 

  • Experience of working in a student-facing advisory role in the Secondary, Further or Higher Education sectors.
  • The ability to use initiative to solve problems and address the concerns of students with flexibility, timeliness and sensitivity.
  • The ability to build cooperation and team spirit and to demonstrate a proactive approach to working with colleagues across the department.
