Events Coordinator

 

Salary £25,685-£31,060 pa inclusive. Starting salaries will usually be offered at the bottom of this scale.

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years

 

Would you like to join a dynamic and award-winning team to help us deliver a programme of high-profile public events? The US Centre is looking for an Events Coordinator to deliver a series of public lectures, workshops, conferences and research seminars.

 

Our past events have featured speakers such as Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, US House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Jeffrey Sachs, and Anne-Marie Slaughter, president and CEO of New America.

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning and managing our programme of events from inception through to delivery. We are looking for someone who has a track record of coordinating small to large scale events, you will have exceptional organisation skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will work with a diverse range of people including internal and external stakeholders, and be confident working both as part of a team and independently with excellent attention to detail and administration skills.

Flexibility is essential, as some evening work will be required, as is normal in the events industry. Interest in US politics and policy issues would be desirable, but not essential.
