Contracts Assistant

 

Salary from £24,760 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £27,831 pa inclusive

 

This is a fixed term appointment until 30 September 2018 and is a full time role based at the IGC Head Office located within LSE, in central London

 

The IGC aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research. The IGC directs a global network of world-leading researchers and in-country teams in Africa and South Asia and works closely with partner governments to generate high quality research and policy advice on key growth challenges.  Based at LSE and in partnership with the University of Oxford, the IGC is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

 

Applications are invited for the role of IGC Contracts Assistant to end of September 2018.

 

The Contracts Assistant supports the Contracts Manager, Research Awards Manager and other members of the finance and administrative teams in the smooth running of the procedural activities of the International Growth Centre (IGC). Excellent written and IT skills, as well as the ability to work accurately with great attention to detail under time constraints, are essential.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • a good general standard of education, preferably to degree level (or equivalent)
  • experience of working in an administrative role
  • excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels   
  • ability to plan and organise own workload in order to consistently meet deadlines, often under pressure
