LSE Fellow in Local Economic Development
Salary from £34,736 to £42,019 pa inclusive of London allowance with potential to progress to £45,212 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment until the 30th September 2019
Based in the Department of Geography and Environment, you will contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the School by conducting teaching and research which will enhance the School’s reputation as a research-led teaching institution, with appropriate mentoring from the Department.
You will contribute to the administrative and teaching duties of the Department at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of economic geography and local economic development, with research interests in the areas of the geography of innovation, institutions and multinational firms with special reference to the activities of the Multinationals, Institutions and Innovation in Europe (MASSIVE) Project funded by the European Research Council.
You will have a completed or be close to completing a PhD in Economic Geography or related fields, by the post start date. In addition, candidates should have expertise in the fields of economic geography and local economic development with research interests in the areas of the geography of innovation, institutions and multinational firms. Excellent communication and presentation skills and teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is also essential.
