LSE Fellow in Behavioural Science (two posts)

Salary is competitive and not less than £34,736 pa inclusive

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years

LSE’s Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science is committed to developing the School’s role as a world leader in the researching and teaching of psychological and behavioural science. In the coming years, the department will become a hub for the 50+ psychological and behavioural researchers in other disciplines across the LSE as well as a cutting-edge centre of expertise in its own right. The LSE Fellows will contribute to the post-graduate programmes offered by the Department, including the Executive MSc Behavioural Science. They will be embarking on developing a coherent research strategy in behavioural science and aiming to produce outstanding quality publications in well recognised leading peer reviewed outlets.

Candidates should have a completed or near completed PhD in a relevant discipline (such as behavioural economics or psychology) by 1 September 2018. You will have a viable strategy for top-quality future research and clear potential for publications in leading journals in the field. Teaching experience at postgraduate level is desirable, ideally with executive students, as are excellent communication skills. Applications are invited from excellent candidates in any area of behavioural science, with a preference for candidates who have expertise in (i) policy appraisal, subjective well-being and willingness to pay (Post 1) or (ii) big data analytics in psychology and behavioural science (Post 2).

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.

For further information about the post, please see the how to apply document, job description and the person specifications.

If you have any technical queries with applying on the online system, please use the “contact us” links at the bottom of the LSE Jobs page. Should you have any queries about the role, please email Professor Paul Dolan at p.h.dolan@lse.ac.uk.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 7 March 2018 (23.59 UK time). Regrettably, we are unable to accept any late applications.

An LSE Fellowship is intended to be an entry route to an academic career and is deemed by the School to be a career development position.  As such, applicants who have already been employed as a LSE Fellow for three years in total are not eligible to apply. If you have any queries about this please contact the HR Division.
