The leading social science and policy research centre in the UK based in LSE, the world’s top social science university, seeks a well organised administration assistant. Part of a friendly small admin team supporting academics and researchers, you will help organise conferences and seminars, provide reception and information services, assist with publicity and publications, research data administration, office and buildings services and maintain and expand Centre databases and photoboards.
You need really good experience and skills in Word, Access, Excel, and web packages. You should have experience of working in a busy team but will also use initiative in dealing with a wide range secretarial/admin tasks, clients/customers in person, in writing and over the phone. Accuracy and attention to detail, an eye for good presentation and an excellent standard of numeracy, written and spoken English are essential. An interest in our area of work would also be helpful.
We offer a very friendly, unbureaucratic but highly efficient working environment. We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities. We can show some occasional flexibility in starting and finishing times but need someone in the Centre five days a week.
