Research Funding Manager

 

 

Salary from £34,736 - £42,019 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

Contract is initially for 3 years and with the expectation that it will be extended, subject to funding.

 

 

 

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, at the London School of Economics and Political Science is pleased to invite applications for this new post.

 

Within the Institute sits an ever increasing range of research grants and the post-holder will work with a wide range of colleagues to support the pre and post-award process. The post-holder’s main responsibility will be to manage the grant application process including project-managing and, where appropriate, drafting proposals, liaising with funders on active grants and managing reports during and at the end of their lifetime. The Institute also has a growing number of benefactors and supporters and the post-holder will assist the Institute Manager and the Director in managing these relationships.

 

Candidates are expected to be educated to postgraduate level, or with a first degree and equivalent experience. They must have experience of supporting the preparation of grant applications. They will be expected to have excellent standards of numeracy and outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong IT skills and evidence that they are a skilled project manager with an aptitude to understand, communicate and comply with a range of regulations.
