Outreach Assistant

 

Salary from £25,181 to £28,304 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term, full-time appointment until 31st December 2018

 

LSE Cities is looking for a highly-organised and motivated Outreach Assistant to work in supporting the Outreach Manager in the organisation and delivery of the 2018 Urban Age Conference which will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in November 2018. 

 

The successful candidate will assist the Outreach Manager in all logistical and administrative duties related to the delivery of the conference, in particular, liaising with speakers and participants on all logistical matters, assisting with the preparation of conference materials and providing dedicated support in the run up to and during the conference. This role will require international travel to Ethiopia during the conference as well as longer working hours leading up to and during the period of the conference itself for which Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) would apply.

 

Candidates should have previous experience of working on events, excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy and excellent standards of customer service.  The ability to be able to deal with a varied workload and to prioritise multiple tasks is also essential.

 

This role will be considered as a secondment opportunity to enable existing employees to broaden their knowledge, experience and skills by transferring to a different team/department.
