MSc Programme Manager

 

Salary from £28,241 to £32,689 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £35,170 pa inclusive

 

   

The Department of Sociology seeks to appoint a committed and highly motivated MSc Programme Manager to provide a first class experience for our students. The post holder will assist with the co-ordination of designated taught masters’ programmes. Your responsibilities will include acting as a focal point of contact for student and applicant enquiries; providing administrative support for a number of courses and faculty members; supporting the admissions and orientation processes, planning and organising a wide range of student and alumni activities and events; overseeing the co-ordination of examinations and assessment processes and providing pastoral care to students.

 

You will have previous experience of working in an administrative role in an educational setting, preferably in programme management/administration. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a responsive and flexible attitude, strong attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team, the ability to manage a varied workload, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Previous experience of working in a Higher Education environment is essential. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to join a busy and friendly team.
