Salary from £28,721 to £33,244 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £35,768 pa inclusive

 

LSE is a cosmopolitan community in the centre of London focusing on the study of the social sciences. The School places significant importance to our learning technology systems and support for academic and professional service staff.  As such we are recruiting a Learning Technology Systems Officer to join an established and well-regarded team of Learning Technologists and related specialists within our Learning Technology and Innovation (LTI) group.

 

This post will work as part of the Learning Technology and Innovation (LTI) team to provide first and second line technical support for learning technologies including Moodle and lecture capture.  The post holder will co-ordinate, prioritise and allocate (where appropriate) the technical and pedagogical support requests that come into the team through our help desk.  The post holder will be part of a team that administers the VLE and other learning technology systems deploying agile technical solutions to ensure reliability and resilience.  The successful candidate will have an undergraduate qualification in an information technology related field or equivalent professional experience and experience in administering PHP, MySQL and Apache servers in a Linux.  Experience in administering a Virtual Learning Environment such as Moodle would be desirable.
