Salaries will be on the appropriate salary scale and will be commensurate with experience, taking into account pay equity within the Department.

 The salary scale starts at £87,919 per annum (pay award pending) and can be found on the LSE website

 

 

To support our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and to strengthen further our research profile, the Department of Law is seeking to appoint a senior academic colleague with an outstanding reputation in the field of European Union Law who has made and will continue to make a significant contribution to the discipline. The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research. The successful applicant will participate in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level and will be expected to take on senior administrative responsibilities within the Department and the School, as well as mentoring and offering career development support to junior colleagues. 

 

Applications are sought from outstanding candidates with an international reputation in European Union Law and a substantial body of influential publications. You should have a PhD in law or in a law-related discipline, or equivalent.  You should have a track record of producing publications of the highest quality (at least two of which will be world leading), as well as a clear, well developed and viable strategy for outstanding research that will result in further world-leading publications. You should have a track record of providing leadership in advancing research and teaching, and a track record of providing leadership in effective departmental administration and contributing to strategic decision-making.

 

Applicants should have a significant track record of excellence in the teaching of law or law-related subjects and a commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students at all levels.
