Associate Professor and Full Professor of Management (Organisational Behaviour)

 

Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide.  For legal reasons, we have to inform applicants that the minimum salary for Associate Professor is £63,201 and for Professor is £84,754 at the LSE pa inclusive.  In addition, this post may attract a significant market salary supplement which reflects current market conditions

 

The Department of Management plays a central role in the LSE, a global, single-faculty, social science university located in the heart of London. The Department’s faculty and research strength is centred in organisational behaviour and employment relations and human resource management, marketing, managerial economics and strategy, information systems and innovation and operations management. The Department’s faculty members are engaged in research and scholarly activity across LSE, through research centres such as the Centre for Economic Performance, the Behavioural Research Lab, and interdisciplinary Institutes.  The Department’s own portfolio of degrees includes the BSc Management, a two-year Global Masters in Management, a one-year Masters in Management and specialist one-year Masters programmes.  The Department of Management’s mission is to inform and inspire better understanding and practice of management worldwide, by extending and challenging traditional approaches through an integrated view of the economic, psychological, social, political and technological contexts in which people, teams, organisations and markets operate. From our setting in a leading international city, we drive improvement in management practice worldwide by producing valuable, original and robust research insights, and delivering innovative education.

 

The Department of Management at LSE seeks to hire one or more outstanding Associate Professors and Professors in Micro and Macro Organisational Behaviour to add to our internationally renowned, innovative and publicly engaged faculty. Applications will be considered from exceptional candidates in both Micro and Macro Organisational Behaviour.  You will maintain an active programme of research, provide intellectual leadership and contribute to the general work of the department, including the teaching of a range of courses.

Successful applicants will have a PhD in the appropriate discipline by the post start date. They will have a track record of producing top tier publications, as well as demonstrable expertise and research interests in Organisational Behaviour.  

Applicants for the Associate Professor position will demonstrate the ability to attract external funding as well as an emerging international reputation in Organisational Behaviour.  The successful candidate will have a clear, well-developed strategy for sustained high-quality research that will result in world-leading publications.  

Applicants for the full Professor position will be able to demonstrate a track record in successfully bidding for external funding, as well an outstanding international reputation in Organisational Behaviour. The successful candidate will have a proved record of outstanding research which makes a significant contribution to the discipline, as evidenced by impactful high-quality publications, at least two of which must be world-leading.
