LSE Fellows in the Political Economy of Europe


Salary is competitive and not less than £34,156 pa (pro rata)

 

These are fixed term appointments from 1 September 2017 to 31 August 2018,
one post at 0.75FTE and one post at 1.0FTE

 

LSE’s European Institute teaches and researches processes of integration and fragmentation within Europe. Its research has been ranked first in the UK in last two national research exercises.

 

You will teach on the MSc in Political Economy of Europe (PEoE), for example courses EU452 (Political Economy of Europe), EU453 (The Political Economy of European Welfare States) and/or EU446 (Political Economy of European Monetary Integration). You may also contribute to our professional skills programme. You will act as Academic Adviser to PEoE students, undertake exam marking, and also perform such administrative duties as required by the Head of the European Institute.

 

You will have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in or related to European Political Economy by 30 June 2017. You should have a very good knowledge of European Political Economy and a developing research record in EU politics. You will also possess excellent communication and presentation skills and foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for students.

An LSE Fellowship is intended to be an entry route to an academic career and is deemed by the School to be a career development position.  As such, applicants who have already been employed as a LSE Fellow for three years in total are not eligible to apply.
