Policy Officer
Salary from £35,999 to £43,360 pa with potential to progress to £46,617 pa inclusive of London Allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for two years in the first instance
The Grantham Research Institute is a research centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science, carrying out research and policy analysis across a range of issues relating to climate change and the environment. We are seeking a Policy Officer to carry out policy-oriented research and policy analysis in collaboration with Professor Nicholas Stern and the Institute’s staff. The appointee will produce accessible, high-quality analysis on climate change aimed at decision makers in the public, private and third sector. They will play an active intellectual role in the life of the Institute, including the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy. Some work outside of office hours will be required.
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree, or the equivalent, in economics, environmental/development economics, environmental policy or a related field; experience of producing high-quality research and policy analysis, strong economic analytical skills, including experience of using large datasets, and knowledge and experience across a range of climate change related disciplines in particular climate change economics and policy.
