LSE Fellow

 

 

Salary is competitive and not less than £34,736 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months, starting in January 2018

 

 

The Department of International Development is seeking to appoint an LSE Fellow who is able to make an important contribution to postgraduate teaching and research in international development. The main duty of the LSE Fellow will be to manage the consultancy projects, which provides students with opportunities to apply analytical tools and critical thinking skills to ‘real world’ problems and challenges presented by external organizations, and which provide clients with opportunities to harness these skills to advance organizational objectives.

 

Candidates should have completed or be close to completing a PhD in development studies, political science or a related field by the post start date; Have very good knowledge of academic literature in development studies; Have a developing research record in development studies, with experience of independent research on a developing country; Have excellent communication and presentation skills; and have the ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. Relevant teaching skills would also be an advantage.
