Head of Internal Communications (Maternity cover)
Salary From £52,348 to £60,614 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £67,167 pa inclusive of London allowance
Starting salaries will usually be offered at the bottom of this scale.
Envisaged start date late April/early May 2018 for up to 12 months
The London School of Economics and Political Science is looking for a Head of Internal Communications based in the Communications Division reporting to the Director of Communications and Public Affairs.
With a new Director focused on improving the student and staff experience, LSE is undertaking a range of initiatives to improve engagement across the School. The Head of Internal Communications has a key role in driving change and supporting School-wide and department initiatives.
The post holder will have an ability to respond and manage high pressure and fast-developing situations. They will be responsible for leading a team and managing and developing internal communications channels. He/She will be a point of contact for all strategic internal communications matters, represent and advise senior management and work on cross-School projects as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in a communications role within an HE or corporate environment working closely with a large variety of stakeholders including senior management and leadership teams. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the development and implementation of a communications strategy with the key emphasis on internal communications. You will also be able to demonstrate leadership in a pressurised environment as well as strong networking and team management skills.
