Coordinating Language Teacher (Spanish)

 

Salary from £36,647 - £44,140 pa inclusive, with potential to progress to £47,456 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a part time appointment at 0.8 FTE

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals who are providing Spanish language tuition to a wide range of students at LSE. This post involves teaching on both the language modules that form part of our BSc programmes and on our non-degree Spanish language programmes. You will be expected to teach some evening classes during term time.

 

You will need to have:

·       A Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent

·       A recognised certificate/diploma in teaching modern languages or similar experience

·       Knowledge and understanding of the latest developments within modern language teaching and learning

·       Knowledge and understanding of historical and current issues in Spanish speaking countries and communities.

·       Experience of using VLEs and developing materials for e-learning (online and on campus)

·       Proven track record in designing and developing ELE materials and resources for a range of levels

·       A proven track record of teaching Spanish within the UK Higher Education system

·       A proven track record in teaching international students

·       A proven track record in teaching remotely, including online and blended courses.

·       A proven track record of teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) from beginners to advanced levels in a variety of courses including at Degree Level
