AFSEE Communications and Marketing Officer
Salary from £30,570 to £35,108 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £37,717 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years
The Atlantic Fellows in Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) programme based in the International Inequalities Institute (III) is committed to building a community of people who are “committed to using collective leadership to work towards social and economic justice for all”. The III is one of the world’s leading research centres on inequality, its causes, and its consequences.
AFSEE are seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to lead on the development and delivery of communications, marketing and outreach strategies and activities to promote the AFSEE Fellowship programme. This will include managing AFSEE’s key communication channels (including website, social media profiles, newsletter, and blog); planning and producing online and print publications and marketing materials; and tracking the success of the programme’s outreach and impact.
The post will start in August 2021, or as soon as practicable afterwards.
Candidates should have:
· Experience of working in a communications marketing role, preferably in a service environment.
· Excellent journalistic instincts, with the ability to seek out engaging stories and insights and communicate these effectively to external audiences.
· Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to convey stories and strategic marketing messages in an engaging format for a range of different audiences and digital and print media.
· Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload and to prioritise effectively.
