Research Programmes Coordinator
Salary from £32,135 to £35,304 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £37,641pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year with potential to extend subject to funding
LSE is one of the world’s leading institutions for social science research, with 18 Nobel Prize winners and 37 past or present heads of state, and it also host to one of the world’s most prestigious and unique philosophy programmes, led by the Department of Philosophy, Logic & Scientific Method together with the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Sciences (CPNSS).
The Research Programmes Coordinator will work closely with the CPNSS Centre Manager and Philosophy Department Manager, playing a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our many philosophical research programmes and events. You will be at the heart of coordinating visiting academics and research associates, academic lecture series and high-profile conferences. Part of your responsibilities will also include coordinating and managing key financial systems, like research budgets and reimbursements.
Candidates must have:
· A high level of independence, accuracy and attention to detail.
· Initiative in dealing with a wide range of tasks and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
· Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation abilities.
· Ability to creatively solve problems, learn new skills quickly, and think on the fly in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication abilities, people-skills, and the ability to work in a team.
