PhD and Teaching Programmes Manager
Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance
The Department of Statistics is home to internationally respected experts in statistics and data science. We offer a vibrant research environment and a comprehensive programme of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The post holder will join our small friendly Professional Services team responsible for supporting the taught and research programmes within the Department.
The PhD and Teaching Programmes Manager role is diverse and central to the successful delivery of the Department’s PhD programme. The post holder will use strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and organisational skills to work closely with academic staff, enhancing the student experience and ensuring all institutional deadlines and requirements are met. This position covers all non-academic aspects of the programme, from recruitment through to graduation, and offers excellent opportunities for personal development. We are seeking a highly dedicated and detail-oriented individual to lead the planning and management of the Department’s part-time teaching programme, as well as oversee the PhD in Statistics programme.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience of teaching administration
- Ability to build and develop effective professional relationships
- Experience of supervising the work of others
- Evidence of ability to plan and prioritise own workload and the workload of others.
