LSE Fellow in Geography and Economics

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years and is 0.6 FTE (Start date, September 2022)

 

Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa (pro-rata) inclusive with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive

 

You will join one of the world’s best-known urban economics/economic geography groups in a department which enjoys very strong international student demand across a wide range of graduate and undergraduate programmes.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to commit to working as part of a team to assist in the smooth running of the Department’s teaching programmes, particularly the BSc in Geography with Economics and the MSc in Local Economic Development, and possibly support our executive/online programmes, as well as maintaining their own research programme. They will also participate in the School and wider Department activities as well as carrying out administrative duties whilst fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

 

Candidates should have a PhD in Economics, Economic Geography (or a related discipline) by the post start date or be close to completing it. In addition, candidates should have a very good knowledge of the field of Urban Economics, Economic Geography and/or Local Economic Development. Relevant teaching experience, the ability to work in close partnership with fellow teachers and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
