Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

  

The LSE Eden Centre brings together educational, technological and developmental expertise to support the development of academic staff and enable curriculum enrichment and digital innovation across the School.

 

Digital Education Futures (DEF) is a transformational change programme delivering digital platforms and practice across teaching, learning and assessment in line with LSE’s strategic ambitions in Education and Student Experience (ESE). 

 

We are looking to recruit a Learning Technologist to join the Eden Centre’s Digital Education team.  The team is responsible for institution-wide learning applications such as the virtual learning environment (Moodle), and lecture recording system (Echo 360). It is an exciting time to join the team and work across business-as-usual activities and change projects within the DEF programme.

 

The Learning Technologist will take responsibility for several digital learning platforms or tools as the team’s Technical Lead and work collaboratively on projects or strands of work to help deliver the education priorities of LSE’s strategy, in particular the Digital Education Futures programme. They will support staff at all levels of the School by providing expert technological and pedagogical advice and guidance in the use of digital technologies and by developing and delivering training and development activities.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in supporting and enhancing teaching, learning and assessment with technology, including technical and/or pedagogical support, in face-to-face or distance learning settings. 
  • Experience in working with a variety of learning technologies, including VLEs (Moodle desirable) at both user and administrator level. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships and interact with staff across the organization in a sensitive manner to achieve positive outcomes.
