We wish to recruit a Research Officer for a 9-month post from 1st October 24 until 30th June 2025 to work on a UKRI-funded project UK Voices: new methods for understanding the impact of social change on individual lives.  The role provides an opportunity to work on an exciting pilot project that aims to augment UK data infrastructure by developing a mixed-methods, repeated cross-sectional data resource. The post will start in October 2024.

Candidates should have:

  • Proven experience of carrying out qualitative interviews and understanding of related risks and ethical issues
  • Proven experience of conducting analysis of qualitative interview material and appreciation of a range of approaches to qualitative analysis
  • A commitment to working on creating infrastructure for the social sciences that facilitates mixed methods analysis at scale
  • Evidence of organisational skills and ability to prioritise to enable the project to stay on track
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present research findings to a variety of academic and non-academic audiences
  • Ability to work as flexibly as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary research team
