The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is a world-leading university, unique in its dedication to the social sciences. Named ‘University of the Year 2025’ by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, it is also ranked the UK’s top university.

For 130 years, pioneering LSE research has helped society to understand the most important global problems and how to solve them. 42 world leaders and 20 Nobel Prize winners have studied or taught at LSE, and it is perhaps the most international university in the world, with 234,000 alumni across the globe and 146 countries represented in our student body.

Our President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Larry Kramer, has set out his ambition for LSE to use our convening power to bring the world together, developing and disseminating solutions for the betterment of society to five vital modern challenges: popular government, political economy, sustainability, inequality, and growth of new technologies.

The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) serves, engages and works in partnership with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, donors, global partners, organisations and the wider community in order to increase engagement with LSE across the world and, by doing so, to increase philanthropic income and strategic partnerships for the university’s priorities.

Within PAGE, the Supporter Engagement and Operations (SEO) function is responsible for delivering a holistic and integrated programme and infrastructure which enables LSE’s community of alumni, donors, volunteers, partners and other friends to have a meaningful and enduring relationship with the School in support of strategic LSE goals.

Within SEO, the Supporter Relations team coordinates, plans and delivers a portfolio of activities which enhance the relationship between LSE and its supporters, including events.

The Donor Relations Officer is responsible for planning, delivering and monitoring comprehensive and structured stewardship activities to thank, recognise and report back to LSE’s major donors to show the impact of their giving and provide an excellent LSE donor experience.

The Donor Relations Officer will have proven experience of:

  • Creating a first-class donor, or customer, experience through meaningful and professional engagement
  • Coordinating bespoke communications for a range of audiences
  • Planning and delivering reports to demonstrate impact
  • Strong project management and planning skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • Working with large datasets to identify trends and impact stories
