 Research Officer

 

Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa with potential to progress to £52,095 pa (inclusive of London allowance)

 

This is a fixed-term appointment for 2 years

 

A Research Officer for the work stream ‘Cohesion and Deliberative Decision-Making’, led by Prof. Alex Voorhoeve, Prof. Kai Spiekermann, and Prof. Richard Bradley, within the Cohesive Capitalism programme, funded by the Open Society Foundation. The position is tenable for 2 years, with a chance of a 1-year extension conditional on performance and if resources permit. The successful candidate will conduct innovative and significant research as part of the Cohesive Capitalism team.

 

The successful applicant will:

·         have successfully completed or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as Philosophy, Political Science/Theory, or Economics by the post start date;

·         have a strong research interest in interdisciplinary research that combines philosophy with the social sciences;

·         have the ability to make substantial, internationally excellent, and innovative research contributions in this area, on topics relating to the ‘Cohesion and Deliberative Decision-Making’ workstream;

·         be willing to work harmoniously and closely with team members in the interdisciplinary ‘Cohesive Capitalism’ programme;

 

Ideally, the successful applicant will begin in June 2024.
