Associate Professor

 

Salary is no less than £65,562 per annum (pay award pending) and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website 

 

In addition this post will attract a significant market salary supplement which reflects current market conditions.

 

The Department of Accounting at LSE invites applications from outstanding candidates for the post of Associate Professor in Accounting. The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research in well-recognised, leading international journals and acting as a role model for state-of-the-art teaching methods across all levels.

For this role at the Associate Professor level, the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership in the department in the research and teaching of accounting, in addition to making relevant service and citizenship contributions to the department, the school, and the profession. Applicants should have an established record of outstanding research accomplishments and teaching in accounting and will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate, including doctoral, students. Essential candidate qualifications include an acknowledged reputation for outstanding research and scholarship, as well as evidence of a clear, well-developed strategy for sustained research that will result in further world-leading publications. Evidence of a consistent record of excellence as an educator in the field of accounting at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level is also essential, along with a demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum innovation and teaching delivery.

The appointment is expected to commence no later than 1 September 2020.
