Research and Faculty Affairs Assistant

 

Salary is competitive and not less than £26,533 pa inclusive of London allowance (pro rata)

 

Note that this is a part time appointment for up to 21 hours per week, and
a fixed term appointment until at least 3 September 2021, extension subject to funding.  

 

The European Institute (EI) is seeking a highly motivated, efficient and hardworking individual to work join our professional services team. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the work of the department’s research and faculty affairs administration, as well as providing assistance to the Department Manager.

 

This role will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop their career in Higher Education.


You should have a strong educational background and be computer literate, preferably with knowledge of updating websites. You will have previous experience of providing administrative support to senior personnel and/or academic staff, and preferably have an understanding of research grants and the Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise. You will possess excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, a
very high attention to detail and be able to prioritise your own work.
