Communications Officer, Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative

  

Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance.

Open-ended, subject to funding, initially until 30 June 2027. It is anticipated that the role will be extended beyond this date.

 

LSE Cities is a dynamic research centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science, dedicated to studying how the world's cities are shaped and transformed. We foster cutting-edge research, convene impactful events, and develop future leaders in urban development.  

 

The Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative, our flagship project, is a pioneering programme to help mayors and their teams across the continent strengthen leadership skills, drive public sector innovation, and tackle complex urban challenges to deliver tangible results for residents in new ways. 

 

The Communications Officer will work closely with, and under the direction of the Senior Communications Manager to deliver the day-to-day communications activities of the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role covering content production, digital channels, media support, event communications and reporting.

 

The ideal candidate will excel at delivering high-quality communications, ensuring that key messages are disseminated effectively to a range of audiences. They will be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to create engaging content for a range of purposes, channels and audiences.  

 

They will have significant experience using a CMS to create and manage website content, as well as delivering effective social media communications. They will also have experience producing newsletters, supporting media activity and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
