Senior M365 & Power Platform Technical Specialist
Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 pa inclusive of London allowance
The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences.
LSE’s Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 10,000 staff and student users.
The M365 & Power Platform Technical Specialist is primarily a developer position, focused on delivering new capabilities and automating processes that will improve, upgrade and optimise the legacy systems and processes currently in place.
The specialist will focus primarily on the Power Platform and SharePoint Online and will also be expected to have a wider ranging knowledge around the general M365 environment including but not exclusively use of Admin portals, Azure Portal and deploying policy changes.
Candidates should have:
- Holds Microsoft certifications or equivalent hands‑on experience across Power Platform, Azure, and M365.
- Extensive experience developing PowerApps (model‑driven and canvas) using Dataverse, PowerFx, custom connectors, and integrations with API/REST services
- Strong capability in Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and M365 add‑ins to automate and streamline business processes
- A deep understanding of Power BI across data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visual design, and Power BI Service administration—including publishing, securing, governing workspaces, managing refreshes, and supporting staff with dashboard interpretation, troubleshooting, and data literacy.
- Understanding of SharePoint Online administration and configuration, such as SharePoint site structure and permissions architecture.
