We invite applications for a Research Officer to work on the randomised evaluation of a school health programme in Zambia and other projects related to the demand and supply of healthcare in LMIC settings. The project is led by Dr Mylène Lagarde and is funded by USAID DIV and the MRC. The aim of the project is to understand whether school health interventions can overcome the under-provision of healthcare to primary school aged children, improving their health and education outcomes.
This project will be hosted by the Global Health Initiative (GHI) with desk space for the research officer provided by the Department of Health Policy’s research centre – LSE Health. The GHI is an inter-departmental research unit set up to increase the coherence and visibility of global health research activity across the School. It provides support for interdisciplinary engagement and showcases LSE’s ability to apply rigorous social science research to emerging global health challenges. The unit has been fostered by the Departments of Health Policy, Social Policy, International Development, and Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
