Salary from £33,558 to £38,541 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £41,404 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

We will consider any requests from staff or job applicants to work flexibly on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of an interdisciplinary institute at LSE that works to improve the impact and effectiveness of private action for public benefit through research, teaching and convening.

 

The Institute Administrator role provides administration as well as project support for the Marshall Institute across its operations. This includes the planning and implementation of a range of events, office and facilities management, management team support and supporting the institute’s governance processes and communications.

 

The Institute Administrator role offers considerable scope for the development of responsibilities to expand your current skill set in the areas of executive support, the administration and management of a research and teaching institute, as well as in event management, and communications support. As a key member of the team your initiative and creativity will be crucial to ensuring the smooth running of the Marshall Institute and the success of its operation.

 

Candidates should have:

 

  • Demonstrable motivation to work in an administrative role in higher education and identification with the aims of the Marshall Institute
  • An ability to contribute actively to the team to meet objectives
  • An ability to deal tactfully and effectively with staff and external contacts at all levels, demonstrating discretion where appropriate
