LSE Fellow in Gender and Culture

 

Salary from £36,647 to £44,140 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term appointment until 18 September 2022.

The post will commence from 1 September 2021.

 

 

The Department of Sociology is seeking a full-time LSE Fellow to teach on gender and society at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, join the programme team on our MSc in Culture and Society, and act as academic mentor to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

 

You will have a completed or near-completed PhD in Sociology or a closely related discipline. You should have a high level of knowledge and a developing research profile in the sociology of gender/gender studies, research interests in the social analysis of cultural processes, and relevant skills and experience in teaching in these areas. Experience and skills in teaching qualitative social research methods is also desirable. You will have the ability to work in close partnership with fellow teachers and to provide effective support within a teaching team, and to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills. A commitment to equality and diversity is essential.
