Salary is competitive with peer institutions and commensurate with experience, taking into account pay equity within the Department. The salary scale starts at £55,974 per annum (pay award pending) and can be found on the LSE website.

 

Indicative start date: 1 September 2021

 

The Department of Accounting at LSE, a leading group in research and research-based teaching of accounting, invites applications for an Education Career Track appointment.

 

As an Assistant Professorial Lecturer you will be expected to deliver excellence in course design, delivery and management, inspirational teaching, a demonstrable contribution to student learning and advice, and a strong contribution to departmental educational, administrative and collegial activities. The post holder will teach and develop Accounting courses, especially at the foundational level, and have a lead role in providing academic mentoring and student support to our large undergraduate student cohort in a research-based department of a leading social science institution.

 

Your substantial knowledge of Accounting will be evidenced by a Masters degree in Accounting or cognate area.. Candidates for this post should also have a strong track record in the teaching of Accounting, including course management and curriculum development and support. A commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students is essential. Furthermore, you will understand and empathise with our research culture and the varying demands on other colleagues.
