LSE Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science is looking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Officer on the European Research Council Advanced Grant Project “Genetically Evolving Models in Science” (‘GEMS’) working with Principal Investigator Professor Fernand Gobet. The aim of this project is to build software that (semi-) automatically generates computational models in psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Please see a brief summary of the project on https://gems-science.netlify.app/overview/.The postholder will use the software developed in GEMS to generate models of experimental data in the field of categorization and relate them to current models and theories. The postholder will have a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or cognitive science or a similar field, or will be working towards completion of a PhD in one of these fields.
