Media Relations Manager
Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment, initially for 3 years with the potential to extend subject to funding.
The Grantham Research Institute is a world-leading centre for the study of the economics and social sciences of climate change and other global environmental problems, based at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The Institute’s work has been recognised through the award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education 2020-22.
We are seeking a talented media relations professional to join our communications team and manage our relationships with journalists in the UK and abroad. This is a role for someone who will thrive in a high-profile institute that promotes informed discussion and decision-making in a controversial area.
Candidates should have experience working as a proactive media relations professional in the public, private or third sector and a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with print, broadcast and online journalists from specialist, regional and national media in the UK and overseas. They should also demonstrate a proven ability to manage the national and international media profile and reputation of a major organisation or institution.
